Ground stop issued at BWI-Marshall due to severe weather

A ground stop has been issued at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport until 5 p.m.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the reason for the ground stop is due to severe weather.

The ground stop is expected to last until 5 p.m., but could be extended.

The majority of Maryland is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m.
