LAUREL, Md. (7News) — Authorities are investigating a domestic-related homicide in Laurel, Maryland, where a suspect is in custody and police say there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The incident was reported around 3:38 p.m. in the 7800 block of Contee Road, according to the Laurel Police Department.
Police said officers are actively working the scene and asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to contact investigators at 301-498-0092 or submit anonymous tips via email at LPDtips@laurel.md.us
Officials emphasized that the suspect involved has been taken into custody.
