Man arrested with machete after armed carjacking in Baltimore

A man was arrested while in possession of a machete after an armed carjacking in Baltimore.

On August 16 around 5:30 a.m., police responded to the 3900 block of Elderon Avenue for a report of an armed carjacking.

Upon arrival, police learned that a man was approached by two unidentified suspects while seated in his pickup truck.

The victim told officers that the suspects ordered him out of the vehicle while displaying a machete.

When the victim left the vehicle, both suspects entered the truck and fled the location.

Police said a description of the suspects and the truck was dispatched over the air, and around 2:05 p.m., authorities found the vehicle in the 2400 block of Woodbrook Avenue.

As a result, a 31-year-old man was arrested, and a machete was seized from the vehicle.

The suspect was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and now faces armed carjacking charges.
