
CARROLL COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — A 34-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection with two commercial robberies in downtown Westminster.
On May 3 around 9 p.m., officers with the Westminster Police Department investigated two robberies at two separate businesses along E. Main St., authorities said.

During the robberies, the suspect allegedly demanded money, implied a weapon, used pepper spray and then fled the area.
Investigators recovered evidence, including clothing, a knit hat and a black face mask, police said.
Video obtained during the investigation helped police identify the suspect as Zakery Alan Thompson-Kassakatis, 34, of Wesminster.
On Monday, investigators arrested Thompson-Kassakatis in downtown Westminster.
Investigators also served a search and seizure warrant at a related home where more evidence was recovered, according to authorities.
According to online court records, Thompson-Kassakatis is facing eight charges, including two counts of armed robbery, two counts of robbery, three counts of second-degree assault and theft less than $100.
He is being held without bond at the Carroll County Detention Center, police said.
