Maryland canvassers certify 2026 Primary Election results for federal, statewide races

The Maryland Board of State Canvassers certified the results of the 2026 Primary Election for federal and statewide elected offices, presenting the findings to the Maryland State Board of Elections.

This year, local boards of elections conducted risk-limiting audits of voted ballots statewide, which use statistical science to verify and confirm the results reported by tabulators with a high level of certainty.

β€œI thank the Board of Canvassers for their careful oversight of the certification process,” said Jared DeMarinis, State Administrator of Elections. β€œThis step of public certification and independent oversight ensures that every eligible vote is accounted for and that the public can have confidence in the integrity of our elections. I would also like to thank the staff at our state and local boards of election for their tireless work to administer a secure and accessible primary election.”
