National Donut Day 2026: Where to score free donuts, sweet deals Friday

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — National Donut Day returns June 5, and donut lovers across the country can celebrate with free treats and discounted dozens from some of the nation’s biggest chains.

The annual event, observed on the first Friday of June, traces its roots back to 1938 when The Salvation Army created the holiday to honor the “Donut Lassies” and “Donut Girls” who served donuts to American troops during World War I.

This year’s lineup features giveaways, buy-one-get-one deals and rewards offers from popular brands including Krispy Kreme, Dunkin’, and 7-Eleven.

Krispy Kreme

• Customers can receive one free donut of their choice on Friday with no purchase necessary at participating locations.
• The chain is also offering a dozen Original Glazed donuts for $2 with the purchase of any regularly priced dozen.

Dunkin’

• Dunkin’ is continuing its annual National Donut Day tradition by offering a free donut with the purchase of any beverage.

7-Eleven

• Members of the 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards programs can purchase classic glazed donuts for 50 cents each at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes locations.
• The convenience store chain is also offering mini donut packs for $1.
