Officials alert drivers to weekend road closures due to Baltimore Orioles’ games, Remfest

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore City officials are alerting drivers to upcoming weekend road closures due to Baltimore Orioles’ games, Remfest 2026 among other events.

Drivers are encouraged to download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.

All events are weather permitting, officials said.

Baltimore Orioles Home Games

The following road and lane closures will go into effect on Friday, May 8 starting at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 9 beginning at 4 p.m. and Sunday, May 10 starting at 10:30 a.m.:

• Hamburg Street closed from Leadenhall to Paca Streets
• The northbound service lane closed next to M&T Bank Stadium
• Camden Street closed from Paca to Howard Streets

Lane and Ramp Closures Along the Southbound Jones Falls Expressway

On Saturday, the following lane and road closures will go into effect along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway/I-83 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. for graffiti removal:

• Right lane closure of the southbound Jones Falls Expressway from the 29th Street ramp to Guilford Avenue
• The North Avenue access ramp to the southbound Jones Falls Expressway
• The Maryland Avenue exit ramp from the southbound Jones Falls Expressway
• Guilford Avenue exit ramp from the southbound Jones Falls Expressway

Drivers should remain alert for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to seek alternate routes, city officials said.

Traffic Modifications for Remfest 2026

On Saturday, the following streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. in Remington with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

• Remington Ave closed between W. 27th and W. 29th Sts.
• 28th St between Fox St. and Cresmont Ave.
• 27th St between Huntingdon Ave. and Howard St.
• Cresmont Ave between W. 28th and W. 27th Sts.

Traffic Modifications for the Hampden Dash

On Saturday, the following streets will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to noon in Hampden with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

• Chestnut Ave. between W. 36th St. and W. 37th St.
• 37th St. between Chestnut Ave. and Tudor Arms Ave.
• Tudor Arms Ave. between W. 37th St. and W. University Pkwy.
• Beech Ave. between W. 39th St. and W. 34th St.
• 34th St. between Beech Ave. and Gilman Terrace
• Elm Ave. between W. 36th St. and W. 37th St.

The race starts and ends at Hampden Elementary Middle School and kicks off at 8:30 a.m.

Temporary traffic stops may be put in place during the race for the safety of participants, according to officials.

Traffic Modifications for Weekend Activities

On Friday, the following road closures will go into effect:

• Cathedral St. closure between Madison and Monument Sts. 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. (special event – Baltimore School for the Arts)
• Old York Rd closure between Wyanoke and Cator Aves. 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. (special event – Tupac Street Dedication)
