
BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore Police are investigating a police-involved shooting that occurred in southwest Baltimore on Thursday morning, authorities confirmed.
According to an initial statement posted by the Baltimore Police Department, Deputy Commissioner Jones and the department’s Public Information Officer responded to the scene in the 3300 block of Wilkens Avenue.
Officials said additional details will be released as they become available.
The Baltimore City Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) also acknowledged the incident, stating that union leadership and attorneys were en route to assist officers involved.
As of now, police have not released information regarding whether anyone was injured or killed, nor have they described what led up to the shooting.
