ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — Starting July 27, the speed limit is dropping from 40 to 35 mph along Forest Drive between Bywater Road and Arundel on the Bay Road, police said.
A 15-day speed limit period will go into effect Monday.

Authorities said the current variable message signs (VMS) will stay in place, showing real-time changes to remind drivers of the speed limit for a brief period.
The speed reduction is being put in place as part of the Forest Drive Safety Study completed by the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works.
