SUN: 4 beaches placed under health advisories in Anne Arundel County

image

Four beaches in Anne Arundel were placed under health advisories by the county’s Department of Health last week because of high bacteria levels.

The beaches are spread across the county, and have either high enterococci or general bacteria levels, making them unsafe for swimming or other “direct water contact activities,” per the advisories.

The following beaches are closed until further notice:

  • Fairhaven Beach in Fairhaven.
  • North Beach in Friendship.
  • Franklin Manor in Deale.
  • Whitney’s Landing in Severna Park.
