BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — Coach has closed its store at Towson Town Center, becoming the latest national retailer to pull out of a shopping center long considered one of the Baltimore region’s top-tier traditional malls.
The retailer, known for its luxury leather handbags, closed for business in Towson on Monday, an employee at Coach in The Mall in Columbia said Wednesday. Coach’s corporate office in New York could not immediately be reached for comment. The company is a brand of Tapestry Inc.
The retailer’s website lists the Towson location as closed, with stores remaining in Columbia, Arundel Mills in Hanover, Queenstown outlets and Montgomery Mall in Bethesda.
A Towson mall official declined to comment on Wednesday.
