MARYLAND (WBFF) — Maryland motorists are paying the highest gas prices in more than a year as fuel costs continue climbing, with the average price of regular gasoline increasing nearly 30 cents over the past week, according to AAA.
The statewide average reached $4.17 per gallon on Thursday, up about 4 cents from $4.13 a day earlier. Prices have jumped about 36 cents over the past month, when the average stood at $3.81 per gallon.
Compared with a year ago, drivers are paying more than a dollar extra per gallon. On the same date in 2025, the statewide average was $3.12.
Maryland’s average also remains above the national average of $4.09 per gallon, which rose about 3 cents from Tuesday and about 15 cents over the past week.
