BALTIMORE (WBFF) — He’s said all of this before.
After being buried behind two All-Pros as a rookie in 2023, Ravens linebacker Trenton Simpson arrived at the next spring’s offseason program envisioning a sophomore jump, finally “ready to roll,” he said. Simpson was benched before December. In June 2025, he vowed, “This is my year,” before losing his starting job again, this time to a rookie. With a similar sentiment, he assured that 2026 will “be a breakout year for me.”
Simpson speaks with earnest urgency, certain that this year, the last on his rookie contract, can be different.
“Every year, in anything you do, you grow and get better,” he said. “So, I feel like at this point in my career this is four years of it, and it should all come together this year.”
