MARYLAND (WBFF) — Dollar General is rolling out back-to-school savings at its stores across Maryland, including supplies priced at $1 or less and additional savings opportunities during the state’s tax-free shopping holiday from Aug. 9 through 15.
With nearly 180 stores across Maryland, Dollar General said it offers convenient access to quality, affordable products and helps residents maximize their savings.
Among the highlighted deals are $3.50 Pilot G2 gel pens, 2-for-$1 Poly Folders with a required purchase of 2, and notebooks or journals at buy one, get one 50% off.

Dollar General also listed season-long savings, including $5 backpacks in several colors, 50-cent Crayola 24-count crayons, $1 Crayola 12-count coloring pencils, $1.50 Crayola 10-count markers, 50-cent iMagine school glue, and iMagine crayons, three for $1.
In addition, Dollar General said it is offering teacher discounts from now through Sept. 7, with 30% off stationery category products for verified teachers.
The company’s “Teacher Social Media Sweepstakes” is set to award 20 educators with a $250 Dollar General gift card.
The sweepstakes runs through Aug. 15 on Dollar General’s Instagram, with winners to be announced Aug. 22.
