Truck fire shuts down inner loop of I-695 near Charles, York Roads

Baltimore County (WBFF) — A truck fire on Interstate 695 caused the closure of all lanes on the inner loop between Charles Road and York Road on Wednesday evening, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.

On June 24, right before 6:00 p.m., crews were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a truck engulfed in flames near Exit 25-26.

Authorities shut down all lanes in the affected area as emergency responders worked to contain the fire and ensure public safety.

Officials reported that no injuries were associated with the incident.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while crews remained on scene.

The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
