
WASHINGTON (7News) — U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) have cleared the scene after a suspicious vehicle prompted an evacuation of the department’s headquarters Friday morning.
Officers located the vehicle in the 100 block of D Street NE, prompting USCP headquarters to evacuate while police investigated.
USCP said it was clearing the scene but did not provide any additional information about the vehicle.

As of 7:54 a.m., USCP reported that the police activity had cleared and several nearby road closures had reopened to traffic.
