A woman has been arrested for the deadly stabbing of an 18-year-old in southwest Baltimore late last month.

The Baltimore Police Department announced that 34-year-old Dasianne Richardson has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in connection to the stabbing.

Authorities said that Richardson was wanted in connection with the stabbing death of 18-year-old Brielle Handy.

Police responded just after 8 p.m. on July 25 to West Baltimore Street near South Hilton Street, where officers found Handy suffering from stab wounds. Handy was taken to Shock Trauma, where she was later pronounced dead.

On August 1, Richardson was arrested and taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where she now faces charges.
