Woman rescued from vehicle stuck in Montgomery County floodwaters

A woman was rescued from a car caught in floodwaters in Montgomery County Tuesday night, officials said.

A spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said units were dispatched to the 1900 block of Brighton Dam Road for a vehicle stuck in floodwater, with people trapped inside.

When they arrived at the scene, first responders found a woman in a car in about two feet of floodwater.

She was removed from the vehicle safely and without injury, MCFRS said, but the vehicle is still in the water.

Police closed off the area of Brighton Dam Road to traffic.
