Far leftist YouTube streamer Hasan Piker called out moderate Democrats who don’t fall in line with the left’s agenda.
During a recent stream, Piker reacted to Fox News coverage of Michigan progressive Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, who narrowly won his primary race.

During the stream, he called for the Democrat Party to embrace “Marxist-Leninist” ideology and said those who don’t support El-Sayed and the socialist movement should be punished.
“Notice how whenever someone comes out and says, ‘yeah, that’s actually a bad association,’ immediately it’s weaponized by the Republicans,” he said. “This is why you can’t. This is why you have to have discipline. This is why you have to abide by the party line. Okay. You can’t be out here doing that. You can’t be out here saying like, ‘oh, I’m a centrist Democrat and I think Abdul is a bridge too far.’”
Piker continued, saying “That must be punished” and “If there’s one Marxist-Leninist doctrine that the Democratic Party should deploy, it’s that. Okay, follow the party line.”
“Sure, we’ll have robust democracy, a robust democratic back and forth internally within the party. But once it’s over, once the winner is declared, no more factionalism. It’s over. Abide by the party line,” Piker added.
Hasan Piker (who refused to vote for Kamala Harris) is calling for “Marxist-Leninist” punishment against Democrats who don’t back El-Sayed.
He said Democrats should be punished for “factionalism” and forced to “follow the party line.”

Piker has drawn criticism for past controversial statements he made. During a livestream after a trip to China, he said, “I got stopped by a cop who thought I was making fun of Mao Zedong, which I never would and never will.”

He added, “Mao Zedong is one of the great leaders of this world, OK? A man who changed the entire universe, the entire planet.”
Piker also said during a 2019 stream, “America deserved 9/11, dude.”

During a July 2026 appearance at the College Democrats of America summer convention, he wore a Zhongshan suit that resembled the clothing Chinese Communist dictator Mao Zedong wore. “No more to Trumpism, but no more to the Democrats who compromise, who conciliate, and who betray us,” he said.
Piker’s comments come as candidates backed by the Democratic Socialists of America have been racking up primary victories in New York, Colorado, and most recently, in Michigan.
