OWINGS MILLS, Md. (WBFF) — 100 military members based in the Baltimore area got a taste of life in the NFL on Thursday, competing in football drills at the Baltimore Ravens’ training facility as part of “USAA’s Salute to Service NFL Boot Camp.”
The Aug. 20 event, held at the Ravens Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, gave service members based at Fort Meade an opportunity to train like Ravens players and test their skills in drills similar to those NFL coaches use to evaluate athletes.
Participants competed in the 40-yard dash, broad jump, three-cone shuttle, receiving gauntlet and quarterback arm challenge.
