First responders were on the scene of a derailment involving a Metro train on the Yellow/Green rail line, according to authorities.
11 people were evacuated from the train, and three patients were initially evaluated for heat-related symptoms. Officials later said all passengers had been evaluated.
One person refused to be taken to the hospital by ambulance, and an adult man was taken for further medical evaluation.
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) said Green and Yellow Line trains were single-tracking between Hyattsville Crossing and College Park due to a single-car derailment outside College Park.
Customers should expect delays in both directions.
