17-year-old faces attempted murder charge in west Baltimore double shooting

A teen has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a double shooting that occurred in west Baltimore back in May, the Baltimore Police Department announced Tuesday.

A 17-year-old male suspect was arrested in July after allegedly shooting a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, according to the department.

On May 18, around 12:48 a.m., patrol officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1400 block of Wilmer Court.

Upon arrival, officers found a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Based on preliminary findings, detectives learned that the victims were shot in the 600 block of Mosher Street.

Western District detectives assumed control of the investigation.

Over a month later, on July 7, detectives arrested the 17-year-old suspect.

The teen was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.
