
BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore Police seized 11 illegal dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) over the weekend as part of an ongoing effort to crack down on unlawful riding activity across the city.
According to the Baltimore Police Department, detectives conducted an enforcement operation on May 31 in and around Herring Run Park after receiving community complaints and tips about a gathering of dirt bike and ATV riders.
During the operation, officers seized nine dirt bikes and ATVs as riders attempted to flee the area.
Police said the weekend total reached 11 illegal dirt bikes and ATVs seized.

Investigators are now working to identify the operators involved and are pursuing criminal and traffic-related charges.
Police said residents thanked officers following the operation, citing ongoing concerns about the impact illegal dirt bike and ATV activity has on neighborhoods and public safety.
The investigation remains active. Detectives said they are continuing to identify additional riders and plan to execute a search-and-seizure warrant as part of a related case.
