When officers arrived, they found an excavator that had been abandoned in the parking lot.

Police then discovered the front of the building had been burglarized and the ATM had been smashed, according to authorities.

On Sunday afternoon, FOX45 crews saw the building was boarded up with a public notice taped on the window declaring the property as condemned.

Back on December 22, 2024, suspects used a large piece of construction equipment to steal a drive-through ATM from a Wells Fargo Bank, located along the 500 block of Sinclair Lane in northeast Baltimore. The suspects fled the area after loading the ATM onto a trailer that was attached to a U-Haul box truck, police said.

The August 16 incident remains under investigation.
