Man arrested after armed robbery at Orioles Team Store

A man was arrested on Wednesday morning after he allegedly robbed the Orioles Team Store at knifepoint, the Baltimore Police Department confirmed.

On May 6, around 10:00 a.m., officers responded to the store located in the 300 block of West Camden Street for a report of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, police learned that a 49-year-old man entered the store and removed two jerseys from the wall.

The man then attempted to flee but was stopped by an employee.

Police said that’s when the man pulled out a knife before running out of the store.

A description of the suspect was given to officers, and after a search of the area, the man was found and arrested in the 200 block of North Eutaw Street.

There was an incident at the team store earlier today. Some merchandise was stolen but most importantly, all staff are safe,” according to a statement from an Orioles spokesperson. “City of Baltimore Police responded and were able to apprehend the suspect.

The suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he’ll be charged with armed robbery and various weapons charges.
