Man with large knife seen trying to break into multiple homes in Maryland neighborhood

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Police in Maryland are asking the public to help them find a man accused of carrying a large knife while trying to break into several homes in the middle of the night.

The attempted break-ins happened around 4:23 a.m. July 24 in the 13200 block of Guilford Run Lane in Fairland, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD).

Investigators described the person as a Hispanic male between 16 and 20 years old with dark hair and a goatee. He was wearing oversized athletic shorts and a light-colored hooded sweatshirt.

Authorities said the person was seen holding a large knife while attempting to enter multiple homes in the neighborhood.
