Baltimore County Police have identified the victims of a double homicide that occurred in Essex on Monday.

Authorities said that the victims are Donielle Mack, 19, and Izick Aminartey, 19.

The shooting was reported on Aug. 10 around 11:25 a.m. in the unit block of Banyan Wood Court.

Officers responded to a reported shooting and found Mack and Aminartey suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Iminartey was pronounced dead at the scene. Mock was taken to an area hospital, where she later died.

Surveillance video obtained by FOX45 News showed the victims’ car arriving at Banyan Wood Court just after 11 o’clock Monday morning. Linda, a concerned neighbor, described what happened next: “A car pulled in three minutes later, people running outside to see what was going on.”

Police said residents called 911 to report a vehicle collision. When officers arrived, they found Mock and Aminartey inside the vehicle.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation–as the search for the one responsible for the shootings continues. Neighbors told FOX45 News they believe the victims’ car arrived and met three men in the middle of the court before gunfire erupted, but detectives have not confirmed that account.

The deaths bring Baltimore County’s reported homicide total to 16 in 2026, compared with 19 in 2025, according to police.

Baltimore County Police reported an 84% homicide clearance rate following Monday’s shootings.

Prior to the three deaths, police said the county’s homicide clearance rate for the year stood at 100%.
