
POTOMAC, Md. (7News) — The search for a missing swimmer in the Potomac River was halted for the second night after a full day of searching yielded nothing.
On Sunday evening, emergency responders were dispatched for a swimmer in distress to the Potomac River near Billy Goat Trail A and Sandy Landing, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

Officials said their reports indicated that a young male had been separated from a group while in the water, but searchers could not find him on Sunday before darkness fell.
They picked up the efforts again on Monday, but in the evening MCFRS said they finished searching for him.
