BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Police are investigating after a 26-year-old man was shot in the leg Thursday night in west Baltimore.
On July 16 around 7:36 p.m., officers were called to the 1300 block of N. Carey Street, located in the city’sSandtown-Winchester neighborhood, for a ShotSpotter alert.
That neighborhood is one of 10 neighborhoods where Safe Streets currently operates, according to the city’s website.

When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg, according to authorities.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
Police said detectives are now investigating.
