BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — The death of a 31-year-old man outside a ground-floor apartment fire this month is being investigated as a homicide, according to Baltimore Police.
Authorities responded to a blaze at the 2300 block of Round Road, in the city’s Cherry Hill neighborhood, around 10 p.m. on June 9.
When crews arrived, they found a man’s body outside the building.
In an email Monday, police confirmed that the person killed was Chiekh Dieng, a Senegalese immigrant whose supporters said came to America “in search of a better life.”
