
BEL AIR, MD. (WBFF) — A 32-year-old man with an active ICE warrant was arrested and charged with nine counts related to sexual abuse and rape of an underage girl when she was in middle school, court records say.
Yerlis Alvarez-Alvarez is charged with three counts each of second-degree rape, sex abuse of a minor and third-degree sex offense in Harford County Circuit Court. A news release from the U.S. Marshals Service says Alvarez-Alvarez is from El Salvador and has a final order of removal from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals and Homeland Security Investigations coordinated for the arrest of Alvarez-Alvarez in Bel Air on June 5.
The Office of the Public Defender, who represents Alvarez-Alvarez in this case, declined to comment.
