BALTIMORE — Baltimore City Police are investigating reports of shots fired in the area of downtown’s Westside neighborhood Thursday afternoon.
Police responded to the 100 block of West Lexington at approximately 12:52 p.m.
No injuries were reported, police said, and no arrests had been made by the time this story was published.
A construction worker at the scene, who identified himself as Mauro, 24, told The Baltimore Sun that shooters were chasing someone who ran into the old Equitable Trust Co. building near Fayette Street and Park Avenue. He barricaded himself in the building, Mauro said, and contractors had to pull him out.
