
BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — A 20-year-old Halethorpe man has been arrested in connection with a South Baltimore shooting that turned deadly on South Hanover Street, Baltimore police said.
Baltimore City detectives said Taiquan Thomas was wanted in relation to a shooting that resulted in the death of 41-year-old Curtis Knox and injured two other men, ages 40 and 35.
The incident happened June 6, 2026, in the 1000 block of South Hanover Street.
Police said patrol officers were called to the block at about 2:51 a.m. June 6 for a report of discharging.
Officers found a 40-year-old man, a 35-year-old man and an unidentified man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said.
Medics took the victims to area hospitals. Police said the 35- and 40-year-old victims’ injuries were considered non-life-threatening, while the unidentified man’s injury was considered life-threatening.
In a case update, police said the unidentified victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
He was identified as a 41-year-old man, and the case was upgraded to a homicide investigation. Detectives later identified the victim as Curtis Knox, police said.
On July 15, 2026, Warrant Apprehension detectives apprehended Thomas in Catonsville without incident, police said.
He was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged with first-degree murder and first-degree assault.
